What kind of information is available?

GoinGlobal includes country-specific information such as advice for finding employment opportunities, including business and networking groups, job search resources, cost of living data and city career guides.

GoinGlobal also includes H1B employer petitions from the US Department of Labor by location in the US/Canada, and additional searches by job title, occupation, employer, wage and more.

Database Interface

Using the main navigation at the top of the page, you can browse career guides by country, global city, or US city, search job postings and internships, find employer directories, and look for companies interested in hiring international talent.

Locating Career Guides

For the purpose of this tutorial, we’ll look at the global city career guides.

  • Hover over the career guides button in the main navigation.
  • Click on “global cities.”
  • Select a city from the list.

Once you’ve selected a city, you can find job search resources, hiring opportunities, resume and interview information, networking resources, and resources on living in the city you’ve selected such as cost of living data and cultural advice, using the drop down menus under each category.

Job Search Options

  • Click on the job search button in the main navigation.

You can search by keyword, occupation, and country and/or city.

  • Type “accounting” into the keyword box.
  • Select “Germany” from the country drop down list.
  • Click “Search.”

Once you’ve entered your search criteria, you’ll be given a list of results to browse.

Internship Search Options

The internship search page works very similar to the job search page.

  • Search by keyword.
  • Select the country/city you’re looking for.
  • Click “Search.”

H1B Visa Search Options

To search for companies interested in hiring international talent,

  • Click on the “H1B Visas” button in the main navigation.
  • Choose to search by occupation or keyword.
  • Complete the search form by company, year, city/state/metro area.
  • Click “Search.”

Company Profiles

To find detailed company profiles and contact information,

  • Click the “Employer Directory” button in the main navigation.

This page allows you to search by industry or NAICS codes, location, company, annual sales totals, and number of employees.

Note: Most of the search pages include a “Search Tips” section that you can use if you need more help using this resource.
