Welcome to this tutorial on Regional Business News!

This tutorial will show you:

To get started, from the Parrish Library homepage, select the List of Business Databases on the left side of the page.

Then select Regional Business News.

What kind of information is available?

Regional Business News provides comprehensive full text coverage for regional business publications, incorporating 75 business news magazines, newspapers and newswires from all metropolitan and rural areas within the United States.

Database Interface

From the homepage, you can search for articles by keyword using the search bar.

Searching

  • Type “finance” in the search bar, then click "Search."

You can use the filters on the left to narrow you search by type, subject, industry, and more.

  • Click “Subject”
  • Scroll down to “Show More”, and choose “public spending”
  • Click “Update”

This will dramatically reduce the number of results making it a much more manageable number.

Results

  • Click on the title of the first result.

This opens up a detailed view of the article which includes citation information and an abstract.

On the left side of the screen you’ll find options to print, email, cite, and export the article.
